Tip: Microsoft Dynamics GP Exposing vendor’s email in eConnect Layer

Posted in

We came across an issue when we were building an integration process to sync the Dynamics GP vendor (creditor) records to another application. We realised that the vendor email address field is not available in the eConnect layer even though we have added the email address from the Dynamics GP UI.

After doing some research, we found that the Vendor email address info is stored in a table called PM00300. And, we can actually expose the table/field that we want in the eConnect layer by updating the eConnect_Out_Setup table in the Dynamics GP database.

So, we wrote the SQL statement below to insert a new row into the eConnect_Out_Setup table:

INSERT INTO eConnect_Out_Setup (QUEUE_ENABLED, DOCTYPE, INSERT_ENABLED, UPDATE_ENABLED, DELETE_ENABLED, TABLENAME, ALIAS, MAIN, PARENTLEVEL, ORDERBY, INDEX1, INDEX2, INDEXCNT, TRIGGERCNT, JOINTABLE, JOIN1, JOIN2, JOINTO1, JOINTO2, DATACNT, DATA1, DATA2, DATA3, DATA4, DATA5, DATA6, DATA7, DATA8, DATA9)
VALUES(0, ‘Vendor’, 0, 0, 0, ‘SY01200’, ‘Internet_Address’, 3, 2, 0, ‘Master_ID’, ‘ADRSCODE’, 2, 0, ‘PM00300’, ‘Master_ID’, ‘ADRSCODE’, ‘VENDORID’, ‘ADRSCODE’, 9, ‘Master_Type’, ‘INET1’, ‘INET2’, ‘INET3’, ‘INET4’, ‘INET5’, ‘INET6’, ‘INET7’, ‘INET8’)

Once this is done, you should be able to see the table exposed in the eConnect Requester Setup.
