Level 5: Reporting Validation in Salesforce SIS
If you haven’t already seen, we have already covered The Introduction, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 methods to reduce common reporting issues i.e. data quality issues. Now let’s take a look at the final method, the level 5 approach – reporting validation.
This method is similar to the real-time warning/error (Level 3) method. The difference is that it will produce a full set of errors/warning found in all the relevant objects. This is opposed to the real-time warning/error (Level 3) method that focuses on per record basis (record level).
The reporting validation will stand as a final checkpoint before data is extracted into files for report submissions. Meaning users can run a quick validation based on the reporting criteria )e.g reporting dates, type and types of reporting etc) to see if any data issues need attention.
