Kuala Lumpur Christmas Charity 2017: Part 2
On Saturday 16th December our selfless Kuala Lumpur team continued with their season of Loving Giving and Caring.
Our first visits were to Sri Sai orphanage and Grace Home for Destitute women. While at these two homes we were able to organise a very special visit “Santa” where he gave out special gifts. After “Santa” gave out all the gift, it was time for a little fun! We played several rounds of games whilst using the opportunity to learn.
Finally off our team banded together to raise money and donate to Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Klang (PPKKCK) home for disadvantaged children.
We have been volunteering our time to the charities in our area for the last 6-7 years. The reason this is so important for us to participate in every year is to help our community and promote awareness to causes that might go unnoticed. There is always someone out there that requires our help.
Why do you volunteer?
“I do it because seeing others being happy makes me happy. With little effort, we can actually make someone feel that they are important and that someone cares about them”
How do you feel after you finish volunteering?
“In gratitude and hopeful. I hope that more people will contribute by giving back to their communities.”
